La agrupación está integrada por Gadhia (voz), Jacob Tilley (guitarra), Eric Cannata (guitarra), Payam Doostzadeh (bajo), y François Comtois (batería).
Durante un tiempo, la banda fue conocida como The Jakes; sin embargo, cambiaron su nombre a Young the Giant.
Para el año 2010, el grupo lanzó su disco debut homónimo.
